After reaching the top, I turned right 15th avenue and went all the way to the Cascade Stairway. There was street sign that read ''Cascade Walk.'' This stairway was very nice. It had a couple of towers at the top and I remember it to be over 150 steps. There was a mut along the way, real cute.
My next stairway was the Aerial Stairway. There are 2 Aerial Stairs, I went on the East one first. I descended down 100 or more steps and then climbed back up. I started climbing 2 steps at a time and was feeling a great burn in my gluteus muscles. Along the way up, I saw a father with his son and wife. He looked at my book ''Stairway Walks in San Franicsco'' and said that my book looked real familiar. Then i saw that son was carrying the book! What a small world!
After the Aerial East Stairway I climbed up about 40 steps on this curved stairway by 12th avenue. I turned left until I reached the Golden Gate Heights Park. I saw 2 adults on a swingset and then I checked out some views and some playgrounds and headed back. There were about 15 steps that i had to climb down.
My next stairway after Golden Gates Park was the West Aerial Stairway. I climbed down about 200 steps and then climbed back up and down again. I was amazed at all these unseen stairways.
My next stairway was the Mount Stairway. It was right next to a bunch of huge towering rocks. This had over 160 steps. You could see all the rocks at the top of the stairway. It was amazing.
Following Mt. Stairway was a set of 20 stairs that led me up to the Grand Ave Park Stairway. I counted about 145 steps on that spiral staircase. I saw a bunch of pretty girls and checked out the views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and downtown San Francisco. I walked around the trail of the park and climbed down about another 100 steps.
I turned left on 14th avenue and checked out 2 stairways that started from Kirkham and went up to Lawton. I climbed down the first one which was on 15th and Lawton. I believe it was around 200 steps! Then I headed left on Kirkham and found a new stairway that will be improved dramatically in the near future. This one is the 16th and Lawton Stairway. It will have tiles just like the mosaic tiled stairway on 16th and moraga! So there is a lot to look forward to! This was a very adventurous hike!
